iPhone 15 Pro Review: Featuring a USB-C port, a dependable A17 Pro chip, and reliable cameras

That exhibit is definitely the show's star. With a peak brightness of 2,000 nits (very bright in direct sunshine), the Dynamic Island has become significantly more valuable in the last year.
2023 appears to be the year of smartphone manufacturers' "comebacks." 2023 is regarded as a "resurgence," "exciting," and "worth every penny" for the smartphone business, if 2022 was a year of "boring" and "no need for an upgrade" devices. Apple is the most recent manufacturer to offer a phone that lives up to its pricing.
The iPhone 14 series has drawn a lot of criticism for not doing enough to justify people's money. Conversely, the iPhone 15 series completely alters the rules. The iPhone 15 Pro is the greatest of Apple's four newly announced smartphones. It is without a doubt the greatest iPhone in years and ought to be on everyone's wish list. It features titanium sides, a new action button, a USB-C port (thank you, European Union), and is brighter than ever. It also manages to be lighter than in prior years.
After using the 15 Pro for more than a month, I'm quite impressed. I might not be entirely convinced about iOS in comparison to Android, but that's a topic for another day. Even if you're switching from an iPhone 14 model, the 15 Pro is a worthwhile upgrade for anyone who loves Apple, iOS, and the ecosystem.
The fully loaded "Pro Max" sibling always eclipses the "Pro" variant. However, this is the year that the pro is the one to beat. Along the way, save a little cash as well. Compared to the 15 Pro Max, the 15 Pro is significantly more portable because to its 6.1-inch OLED screen. Stainless steel sides are replaced with titanium ones on the 15 Pro, which helps control weight.
The OLED display is bright and clear.
That exhibit is definitely the show's star. It can reach a maximum brightness of 2,000 nits when exposed to direct sunshine, and in the last year, the Dynamic Island has become significantly more functional.
The screen has true color and vibrancy. Some of the most amazing built-in speakers available go with the screen. The sound had a lot of depth, and the whole experience was engrossing. The fact that the audio doesn't distort at unbearably extreme volumes—yes, the 15 Pro can go quite loud—is what I enjoyed best about it. You'll become engrossed in the content whether you're watching the newest Netflix release or just perusing YouTube, and that's a good thing.
The USB-C connector there
You should be aware by now that all iPhone 15 models have USB-C ports rather than Lightning ones. This is a significant shift for the iPhone and Apple industries. Users of iOS and Android
can now use a single wire to share! I won't get into specifics, but users of iPhones are delighted that they no longer need to ask around for a cable in order to charge their phones.

A17 Pro processor
The chipset is the biggest improvement (as it is with most years). Apple has always had superior CPUs, and the A17 Pro chip keeps them at the top of the market. Similar to console graphics, the A17 Pro processor provides powerful ray-tracing visuals. It's revolutionizing the field. AAA video games that normally need a console or a PC to run, such Assassin's Creed Mirage and Resident Evil Village, will be playable on the 15 Pro.
I continue to believe that a dedicated gaming phone would be well worth the investment if you're looking to play games on a smartphone. Alternatively, a smartphone paired with a device akin to a Steam Deck/ROG Ally. However, iPhone gaming will increase as many more titles are scheduled for release in the upcoming months.
Daily performances are by the 15 Pro flies. The 15 Pro is incredibly quick and fluid, effortlessly completing all of your duties. Playing high-end video games makes it more apparent than looking through social media or capturing pictures or videos. The phone becomes warm after just a short while of gaming—that's the main drawback.
Can it run on a single charge for the entire day?
Yes, if you don't continuously push it to its limits, the 15 Pro can go for an entire day on a single charge. Although the 15, Pro's 3,274mAh battery is marginally bigger than that of the previous model, Apple claims that it will still last the same amount of time.
Over the years, Apple has come under fire for offering subpar battery life on all of its models—with the exception of the enormous "Pro Max." Unless they were heavy users, the majority of customers could get a day's worth of use out of it. The 15 Pro is similar to the 14 Pro in that it hasn't really improved.
However, for a phone this tiny, the battery life is often really decent. After a long day of taking pictures, streaming videos, listening to podcasts, and making multiple calls, I would always go to bed with a 15% battery remaining. You can manage to get six hours or so of screen time in a twelve to fifteen-hour workday. That is preferable to the several smartphones that are currently on the market.

One of the better cameras is found on the 15 Pro. Clearly. Taking true-to-life images is one of the nicest compliments one can offer the 15 Pro. The 15 Pro is equipped with three cameras. A 12MP ultra-wide lens, a 12MP periscope camera with a 3x optical zoom, and a 48MP primary sensor are present. Additionally, there is a 12MP front-facing camera.
It's unfortunate that it lacks the 15 Pro Max's 5x optical zoom. In comparison to the 14 Pro, the 15 Pro represents a little improvement. There is a slight variation even though the hardware appears to be identical. A "nano scale coating" on the lenses lessens lens flare.
Another additional feature is the 24MP image output (using the 48MP sensor) instead of the 14 Pro's 12MP images. This time, there will be twice the resolution.
Additionally, the primary lens's default focal length (24, 28, or 35 mm) can be adjusted. The 15 Pro's portrait mode has also been enhanced. It's known as "next-generation portrait mode" by Apple. The camera can now recognize portrait subjects automatically when in the main camera mode. It is now possible to convert any photo into a portrait even after it has been taken. It is even possible to change the focal point after the event.
All of this equates to a dependable camera system in the majority of situations. When comparing side-by-side, you won't see much of a change in image quality if you're coming from a 14 Pro. However, there will be a significant change in image quality if you're switching from an earlier iPhone model.
We must discuss the Action Button.
I am the type of person that keeps my smartphone in silent mode all the time. For years, the "mute switch" has been one of my favorite features on the iPhone (OnePlus cellphones also have a "Alert Slider"). Apple has chosen to implement one of the most significant design changes in the last few years with the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. The "mute switch" has been replaced with a whole new Action Button. There are many of customization options available with the Action Button that were not before conceivable. The Action Button can be used to access a wide range of shortcuts, such as starting an app of your choice or the phone's torch.
Since obtaining the 15 Pro, I feel that I have utilized the Action Button the least. I use it solely to turn my phone from ringing to mute, just like I used to. I've got to get used to the fact that it takes a few more seconds to trigger.
It's tempting to be able to open any program with just one button, but what would you use in place of a "mute/ring" button? You'll realize how pointless the button is once you ask yourself that question. Though, at the moment, it is my least favorite feature of the 15 Pro, perhaps in the upcoming months, I will grow to like it. Over the months, even the Dynamic Island has grown on me and become more beneficial.
Best iPhone in years, in our opinion?
Without a doubt, the answer is yes. It's been a long time since I was pleased with Apple's iPhone selections. The software isn't particularly exciting, and the hardware updates have been sluggish. This is all altered by the iPhone 15 series. Apple boasts an extremely powerful chipset in the
Thank you for USB-C, the A17 Pro, a Dynamic Island that is finally deserving of the space it occupies, incredibly dependable cameras, and an amazing display.
The 15 Pro is most likely the greatest iPhone released in the last two years. Clearly. Over the next years, I hope Apple builds on this momentum.
Naturally, there are issues with the 15 Pro. The 15 Pro Max is the only device with a 5x zoom, the battery life hasn't really improved, and the Titanium finish doesn't seem as high-end as it did on earlier iPhone models or even some of the competitors. The Action Button is present. Though I hope to change my mind, this is currently my least-used feature.
Regarding the accessories, just one word. I will merely restate what many others have previously said in my writing. Avoid purchasing Apple's latest FineWoven cases. They become dirty easily, fade quickly, and have some slickness. Instead, purchase a third-party case.
In terms of gaming, the 15 Pro has a promising future because some well-known developers and titles are joining the fold. Being an iPhone user is an exciting time right now. Just keep in mind that the price of the iPhone is high. There are some more affordable foldable smartphones available now than there were a few months ago.
Still, upgrading to the 15 Pro will be well worth the money if you're an avid iPhone user or an Apple enthusiast.
